The model name “Holy Toledo” was inspired by Filipe’s nickname when he was 16 years of age - a result of his radical and progressive surfing style. Toledo loved the looseness of the 32” Flying Fish on the original Thruster, but needed a bit more drive so a design was created extending all the measurements. Toledo later tested a few different setups of varying width and wheels base distances to finally settle on this version. The 31.5” Holy Toledo with Thruster D gives surfers all round performance. It excels in generation of speed on flats.
The model name “Holy Toledo” is still the model name but the size and graphic has now changed. The Holy Toledo with Thruster D is 31.5" instead of 33" but the wheelbase is the same. With Thruster D, we've made the board lighter and even more longer lasting. This video is the original inspiration about the Holy Toledo.
The 31.5" Holy Toledo model comes with the new SmoothStar Thruster D technology. The Thruster D is the latest in precision engineering that gives surfers the ultimate surf feeling with 12%-15% more hold. It's also lighter and comes with a 5 year warranty
We have completely revamped the Holy Toledo model graphics. The outline is similar but the colour change is completely different. Its more modern and fresh and we took out Filipe's surf stoked bloodshot eye. The colour scheme is suited much more to the powder coated white trucks.
Filipe with the original 33" Holy Toledo when he was just 16 years of age.... now he's a WSL World Champion and married with two kids! But his original Holy Toledo lives on and loved by many surfers who want to improve their surfing.
